Gentle Acupuncture

It is a complementary medical practice that entails the very gentle, precise and safe stimulation of certain points along the Meridians of the body to manipulate the Qi (vital energy and essence of the body). Most of the time the very little and super thin needles are gently inserted few millimeters into the skin. Sometimes the little needles are stroked gently above the skin, either in the direction of the flow of the Qi (to promote stimulation and enhanced activity) or against the direction of the flow of Qi (to promote sedation and relaxation) within the meridian.
Acupuncture looks to regulate, restore and balance the normal flow of Qi (Vitality or energy) throughout the body and the “Acupuncture Meridians”, balance the body’s subtle electromagnetic fields and energies, regulate circulation and production of blood, essence and fluids, stimulate homeostasis (dynamic balance) and healing, enhance well being and relaxation.
