Injection Therapy

Many pathological conditions respond in a very favorably way to the use of Acupoint Injection Therapy. Pain management could be also achieved through the use of Injection Therapy Techniques.

The injection dose for each acupuncture point depends on the location on the body, the pathological conditions being treated, the constitution of the patient and the concentration of the medicated solution.

At Health & Hope Institute we use properly sterilized equipment for any Injection Therapy procedure (single patient, disposable syringes and hypodermic needles). The medicated solutions come in the form of sterile vials of homeopathic medicine, vitamins and nutraceuticals.
We follow proper clean needle technique and skin antiseptic measures to avoid any possible risk of infection.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is the use of injections in the treatment of connective tissue (ligaments and tendons) weakness and musculoskeletal pain. Prolotherapy is also called "proliferation therapy" and "regenerative injection therapy." It involves injecting a "Sterile Nutritive" solution of a proliferative agent, Vitamins and homeopathic medicine into a Ligament or the junction between bone and tendons (fibro-osseous junction), ligament or joint for stimulation of:

- Natural fibrosis enhancement (New, healthy and stronger non-venous tissue)

- Tissue toughening (Sclerosing: Regeneration and Formation of parallel pattern fibers producing a Strong ligament and tendon action; rather than Scaring: No pattern in the regeneration of fibers causing Weak ligament and tendon action)

-Growth ( production of healthy fibrin/collagen, tendons, ligaments and/or cartilaginous fibers)

- Strengthening of ligaments, tendons and/or cartilage or their attachments that  diminishes instability and alleviates pain.

Prolotherapy is generally used as a periosteal trigger point injection and in the region of tendons or ligaments for the purpose of strengthening weakened connective tissue and alleviating musculoskeletal pain.

Prolotherapy, in combination with cranio-sacral therapy, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, has been reported to alleviate chronic pain and strengthen weakened muscle tendons, ligaments and joints.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy, pioneered in the 1950's by French physician Dr. Michel Pistor, is the painless injection of vitamins, minerals, medications, and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin. Mesotherapy has a variety of applications including weight loss, cellulite reduction, face and neck rejuvenation, and hair regrowth. Therefore, the injected solution is individually prepared depending on its purpose. Unlike other medical treatments, mesotherapy is administered directly to the desired area. This limits side-effects, reduces the possibility of drug interactions, and allows for a substantial reduction in the amount of medicine utilized for each procedure.

Weight Loss / Fat Burning / Fat Reduction:

For those patients seeking weight loss, mesotherapy is a revolutionary and essential tool. This is how it works: the biology of the fat cell is modified by blocking the signals of fat accumulation and simultaneously triggering the release of stored fat. You can specifically request to have the treatments on desired target or problem areas. Additionally, a complete Dietary and Nutrientional Evaluation will address your personal needs, helpful or damaging habits, and provide suggestions for modifications, as needed to maintain your weight loss goals and enjoy a healthier, happier and more active life.

Alopecia:

Since Alopecia results from poor circulation, nutritional imbalances, and the excess of a hormone known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone), Mesotherapy can correct these problems, stimulating the body to naturally grow lost hair.

Facial Rejuvenation:

Aging, sagging and wrinkling of the skin occurs from accumulation of fat, loss of skin elasticity and excessive free radical damage. Using antioxidants, vitamins, stem cells and amino acids; mesotherapy can remove fat from under the neck, nourish tissues, promote collagen formation, remove free radical damage, and tighten loose skin. The effects rejuvenate the face, eyelids, and neck without the unnatural appearance and painful recovery of surgical face lifting, the damaging Neuro-Toxic effects of Botox or the increased skin laxity after the repetitive use of Restilene.

Body Contouring:

Contouring of the abdomen, arms, back, legs and hands can be obtained with mesotherapy, massage and vacuum therapy. Vitamins and amino acids are used to tighten sagging skin while other agents are used to remove areas of fat, restoring a more youthful and athletic appearance to the body's contours.

Other Applications:

Mesotherapy also has a variety of medicinal uses. Treatments can benefit those patients suffering from muscle spasms, stress, insomnia, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, infections, RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), and osteoarthritis, among other conditions. Such a wide variety of conditions can be treated with this technique as each treatment is formulated to meet each patient's unique problem. Mesotherapy is administered only into the problematic area, avoiding the side-effects of taking oral medications. For example, the dosage of medication used to alleviate the pain of osteoarthritis is approximately 1/50th of the comparable to the equivalent oral dose taken over a one-week period.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the use of injections of caustics into the veins, in vascular surgery and dermatology, to remove varicose veins and other vascular irregularities.

There is a very high incidence of worsening in Venous return, Varicose and Spider Veins  within 4-5 yrs following vascular  surgery.

At Health & Hope Institute, the main goal is to enhance the circulation and blood return to the heart and the lungs and strengthen the veins with the use of injections of nutrients and homeopathic medicine, plus nutritional support.    Varicose veins are alleviated and gently drained to improve appearance and relief burning/discomfort.
